Apple Syrup
Shortcake
1 pound cake
2 cups applesauce
1 tsp. cinnamon
dash nutmeg
1/4 cup brown sugar (dark)
1 tsp. lemon juice
Slice pound cake into 1/2" slices and toast.
Spoon applesauce mixture on top of each slice of cake.
Spoon on whipped cream. |
