Tuna Chowder
1 large potato diced
1/2 cup celery chopped
1/2 cup carrots chopped
1 small onion chopped
2 cups water
Bring water to a boil. Add first four
ingredients and boil 10 minutes.
1/4 cup butter
1/4 cup flour (or cornstarch)
2 cups milk
1/2 lb. shredded sharp cheese
1 can tuna drained and flaked
Dash of Tabasco
salt to taste
Melt butter and dissolve flour, milk, and
cheese. Add tuna, Tabasco, and salt.
Add to vegetables and liquid. Heat thoroughly. This is
WONDERFUL!
