Yeast Rolls
1 yeast cake envelope
1 cup warm potato water
1 cup firmly mashed potatoes
2 eggs well beaten
2/3 cup sugar
1/2 cup Crisco
1 tsp. salt
4 cups plain flour
Dissolve yeast in warm water and let rise 5
minutes.
Beat eggs. Mix eggs with sugar, yeast and beat well. Mix in
potatoes.
Combine flour, salt and Crisco, then cut till it crumbles. Add
liquid mixture and knead for a few minutes.
Grease bowl and roll dough over. Chill for 2 hours.
Roll and cut with biscuit cutter. Cut part way through with
knife and dip top in melted butter. Brush with butter.
Let rise 1 hour, then bake at 425 degrees until done.
